Welcome to Rio's
Brazilian Cafe, our home in Austin, Texas.
We make traditional
and contempoary Brazilian food, all from scratch.
Serving breakfast,
lunch, happy hour apps and drinks, dinner and dessert, we
have:

Rio's Brazilian
Cafe is located on North Pleasant Valley Road, between
East 4th and East 5th Streets.
We have parking
on the side and behind the Cafe, plus street parking
is available on all back streets.
We
are just north of Cesar Chavez Street (new IBC Bank), and
just south of East 7th Street (HEB and Sonic.)
We
are across the intersection from Capitol Metro Headquarters,
and next to a three-story apartment complex (in process.)
NOTE:
Constuction is complete on East 7th Street! It is a
beautiful, and very easy-to-travel street. Take East 7th Street
and turn right at the HEB. We're right down the street!

From
anywhere in Austin, get to I-35 and the Cesar Chavez exit.
Drive east for 1.5 miles. Take a left at North Pleasant Valley
Road (there is a left- turn lane and traffic signal). We are
four blocks north on the left.

Feijoada
- the national dish of Brazil
Join us every
last Saturday of the month for feijoada, the traditional
Brazilian meal made from scratch by Elias.
The national dish
of Brazil, feijoada is a stew of pork, beef, sausage
and black beans. We serve it with traditional white rice sauteed
in garlic and butter; collard greens, a side dish made of
sauteed yuca flour with garlic and banana; oranges; and our
fresh-baked pao de queijo.
$18 - veggie version

(Psst!
This is a great time to bring in that bottle of Cachaca and
enjoy authentic Caipirinha with your meal. We provide the
limes, sugar and muscle; set-ups just $2.50)

Tropicalia Room
We're so proud
of our new inside space, The Tropicalia Room!
With comfortable
seating for up to 20, book your next meeting, birthday party,
suprise party, or knitting-circle with us.
The room can be
semi-private or totally private and has a waiter's entrance
to serve your guests in complete comfort.
